This was the era of FDIC and RTC and bank foreclosure opportunities. I remember the entrepreneurial spirit with which we approached this. I think we underwrote the deal and closed with cash in only ten days. This is what we had to do to get the bank to select us as the buyer. The reward far outweighed the risk.
We purchased this property for $70/sf and it is a superior piece of real estate. I wish there were more deals like this one today!”
