Ice Blocks fills out retail lineup with Anthropologie, Salt & Straw
In a sign of optimism for urban retail, two new leases have taken Midtown Sacramento’s Ice Blocks project to completely full.
Soft goods retailer Anthropologie and Salt & Straw ice cream should open in upcoming months in spaces of 6,000 and 1,000 square feet, respectively, on the south side of R Street between 16th and 18th streets.
“I am not exaggerating when I say this deal literally took seven years of effort to make happen,” said Ice Blocks developer Mike Heller in an email about Anthropologie. “When you add Anthro into our mix of female-centric tenants at ICE, it really becomes a prime destination for experiencing a great day of shopping and eating in the city.”
