Long-awaited Shake Shack reportedly opening Thursday in midtown’s Ice Blocks

ICE Block, Press

Sacramento’s first Shake Shack will open at 11 a.m. Thursday for to-go orders in midtown’s Ice Blocks development after a year’s wait, a company spokeswoman confirmed to The Bee.

The New York-based fast food chain famous for its crinkle-cut fries and “concretes” will sell a few area-specific takes on the latter out of 1710 R St., Suite 190, including the “Shack-cramento Crumble” (vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, cookie crumbs and chocolate toffee).

“We are so excited to be finally joining the Sacramento community,” chief development officer Andrew McCaughan said in a news release. “While it took us a while to get here, we are looking forward to bringing Shake Shack to Ice Blocks the safest way possible.”
